A zero-landfill policy
Our team takes great care in the proper deconstruction and recycling of obsolete computer components. When we receive technology donations that need to be deconstructed rather than refurbished (due to age, quality or other factors), we utilize any viable components and then responsibly recycle the remaining parts.
Certified Recycling You Can Trust
A typical computer has over 2,000 parts and pieces; many are valuable, some are hazardous and some are both. Shift2 is a registered Electronic Waste Recycling Facility with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (under the NYS Electronic Equipment Recycling and Reuse Act). Our thoughtful deconstruction and sorting of recyclable materials means they have the best chance of being recovered and reused in future electronics.
