Shift2 received funding from The Rochester Area Community Foundation (RACF) to host a Non-Profit Tech Trade program.  This program was for multiple area nonprofits to upgrade their office computers and for Shift2 to responsibly recycle their outdated technology.

The funding covered 100 replacement computers for this program. Local nonprofit organizations exchanged their old desktop tower/laptops and received a newer, refurbished computer with a Windows 11 operating system and updated features (better computer processor, RAM speed, etc).

At the Non-Profit Tech Trade event we were able to distribute 100 computers (31 desktop setups, 69 laptops) to 15 different non-profit organizations within 2 hours. And we collected 562 pounds of old computers for recycling.
