Frontier Donates High-Speed Fiber Internet to Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Rochester Through Shift2 Partnership

When Frontier Communications joined Shift2's Community Partner Union (CPU) as a corporate sponsor, they put their membership to work for a Rochester nonprofit that needed it.

As part of the CPU, corporate sponsors have the opportunity to direct refurbished technology to a nonprofit organization of their choosing. Frontier selected Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Rochester.

Frontier’s Broadband for Good initiative is focused on connecting underserved communities with high-speed fiber internet, and BBBS now has exactly that. Shift2 supplied the hardware to match: laptops, tablets, and chargers ready to run on their new fast connection.

It’s a straightforward example of what the Community Partner Union is designed to do. Corporate partners bring resources and choose where they land. Nonprofits get quality equipment they can actually use. And the community gets better connected.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Rochester serves young people across the region. Having reliable, high-speed internet backed by the right devices means their team can focus on that work without technology getting in the way.

Welcome to the CPU, Frontier.
